Overview
- The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Centre in Srinagar inducted 711 Agniveers on December 4 with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reviewing the parade and presenting awards.
- At the Artillery Centre in Hyderabad, 1,624 recruits completed 31 weeks of training as Lt. Gen. Adosh Kumar told the cohort that the arm’s performance in Operation Sindoor should guide the next generation.
- The 1 EME Centre in Secunderabad passed out 1,531 Agniveers after advanced technical training, with Brigadier Prashant Bajpai urging them to uphold national integrity as they join units.
- Large pass-outs were reported at multiple centres including the Punjab Regimental Centre in Ramgarh (962), Rajput Regiment Centre in Fatehgarh (565), AOC Centre Secunderabad (478), Bihar Regimental Centre Danapur (550 plus 80 TA recruits) and Ladakh Scouts Centre Leh (193).
- The ceremonies capped a standardized 31-week Agnipath curriculum and featured oaths, merit awards and Gaurav Padak for parents as graduates move to field and peace postings across the Army.
