India Unveils NSCSTI 2.0 to Modernize Civil Service Training

Reactivating the digital accreditation portal simplifies evaluation processes for outcome-focused training improvements.

Overview

  • Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh launched NSCSTI 2.0 at the Civil Services Officers Institute, marking the next phase of Mission Karmayogi’s capacity-building initiative.
  • The number of accreditation metrics has been reduced from 59 to 43 to sharpen focus on outcomes and provide greater clarity for training institutes.
  • NSCSTI 2.0 integrates hybrid learning, AI-driven tools and embeds Indian Knowledge Systems alongside the Karmayogi Competency Model and Amrit Gyaan Kosh.
  • The framework promotes both cooperative and competitive federalism by empowering central, state and local institutes to assess and upgrade their own training programs.
  • Bangladesh, South Africa and the Maldives have expressed interest in studying India’s revamped model as part of its emerging role in global governance reform.
