Overview

  • On July 4, Deputy Army Chief Lt Gen Rahul R Singh disclosed that China fed Pakistan real-time intelligence on Indian force deployments during the May 7–10 Operation Sindoor.
  • He warned that Beijing used Pakistan as a “live lab” to assess Chinese-made weapons against Indian military systems.
  • Singh reported that Turkey supplied Bayraktar drones and other unmanned aerial systems to Pakistan throughout the four-day conflict.
  • The deputy chief noted that 81 percent of Pakistan’s military hardware is sourced from China, highlighting the depth of the Sino-Pakistan defence nexus.
  • These disclosures have prompted calls for rapid upgrades to India’s integrated air defence network and enhancements to C4ISR and multi-layered surveillance capabilities.
