India to Produce BrahMos Missiles in Lucknow, Modi Warns Pakistan

  • On August 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles will be manufactured in Lucknow’s UP Defence Corridor.
  • Major defence firms have committed to set up factories there under the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative to bolster domestic arms production.
  • The new production line will integrate with the ₹300 crore BrahMos testing facility inaugurated in Lucknow in May.
