India to Let Private Firms Conserve Protected Monuments Within Two Weeks

Donor-funded projects will be routed via the National Culture Fund under ASI supervision.

  • More than 20 private agencies have applied, and a ministry committee will vet submissions and finalize a roster roughly a week after the deadline.
