India to Host BIRC 2025, Billed as the World’s Largest Rice Event, on Oct. 30–31 in New Delhi

The summit is pitched as a springboard to expand agri exports with a farmer-first focus.

  • Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced the two-day Bharat International Rice Conference will take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on October 30 and 31.
  • Organised by the Indian Rice Exporters Federation in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, the gathering is described as the sector’s biggest global platform.
  • Goyal said the event will convene farmers, exporters, global buyers and policymakers and support the goal of doubling agricultural and agri-based exports within five years.
  • In his video message, Goyal called agriculture the “soul of our civilisation” and urged a shift toward trusted branding, value-added rice products and new market access.
  • IREF president Prem Garg welcomed the announcement, calling the conference a transformative forum to advance quality standards, sustainability and farmer welfare as India leads global rice trade.
