India to Host Asia-Pacific Aircraft Accident Investigators’ Meeting Oct. 28–31
The forum convenes regional investigators to share practices, strengthening cooperation.
Overview
- New Delhi will host the APAC-AIG gathering for the first time, with around 90 participants expected.
- Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu is slated to inaugurate the event on October 28.
- The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau will host on behalf of the Civil Aviation Ministry, with ICAO participation.
- Workshops run October 28–29 with AAIB, DGCA and international experts, followed by discussions among ICAO member state representatives on October 30–31.
- AAIB notes it is handling about 25 investigations, including the June 12 Air India crash that killed 260 people.
