  • He highlighted digital tools for last‑mile alerts and low‑cost cooling solutions as practical measures for heat preparedness and response.
  • India signalled readiness to partner on early warning, risk reduction and disaster management, noting the disproportionate risks to vulnerable countries alongside representatives from Singapore, the Maldives, the European Union and Finland.
  • George also took part in the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting, reiterating commitment to the Commonwealth Charter and calling for reforms, and represented India at a UN conference focused on implementing a two‑state solution for Palestine.
  • Earlier, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in New York and said they agreed to maintain sustained engagement on priority issues.
