Overview

  • The Ministry of Power has constituted a Task Force of technology, regulatory and power sector experts to steer development and scaling of the India Energy Stack
  • Over the next 12 months, the government will partner with select DISCOMs to implement a proof of concept and validate real-world use cases
  • The digital framework will assign unique identifiers to consumers, assets and transactions and enable consent-based, real-time data exchange via open APIs
  • A modular Utility Intelligence Platform will be piloted to deliver analytics-driven insights for smarter grid management and policy decisions
  • The initiative aims to integrate renewable power, streamline distribution operations and empower consumers ahead of a full national deployment
