• The Mission Olympic Cell approved Rs 86 lakh to fund overseas training and competition trips for Indian track and field athletes bound for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
• Chopra and his physio Ishan Marwah will spend 57 days training under Jan Zelezny in Prague and Nymburk to address a technical flaw and boost consistency.
• Steeplechasers Avinash Sable, Parul Chaudhary and long-distance runner Gulveer Singh received Rs 41.29 lakh to train in Colorado Springs and Los Angeles through early September.
