Overview

• IIT Madras retained No. 1 in both the Overall and Engineering categories in the Ministry of Education’s NIRF 2025 released on September 4.
• IISc Bengaluru topped the Universities list, while AIIMS Delhi led Medical, IIM Ahmedabad led Management, and Hindu College, Delhi, ranked first among Colleges.
• The framework expanded to 17 categories with a new SDG/Sustainability ranking, where IIT Madras ranked first, according to the official lists.
