Overview

  • More than 86,000 post offices have been migrated to the IT 2.0 platform so far, with the remaining offices set to complete digitization by August 4, 2025.
  • Phase 1 has established 344 dedicated delivery centres that centralize service areas and offer delivery slots on Sundays, holidays, mornings and evenings.
  • The IT 2.0 framework introduces real-time tracking and tracing, electronic proof of delivery, OTP-based authentication and digital payment capabilities via open APIs.
  • Integrations with ONDC and GeM are being implemented to enable wallet-based prepaid bookings, automated pricing and centralized order and payment reconciliation.
  • A newly onboarded data analytics team is driving route optimization, smart sorting and demand forecasting to boost operational efficiency and support e-commerce growth.
