India Passenger-Vehicle Sales Jump 26% in December as Maruti Extends Lead

Robust SUV demand alongside rising EV adoption sets up a competitive start to 2026.

  • Domestic passenger-vehicle sales reached 404,231 units in December 2025, up 25.8% year on year, with volumes easing 3.2% from November.
