Overview
- Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal launched PM GatiShakti Public via the Unified Geospatial Interface, granting controlled access to selected non-sensitive layers for site suitability, connectivity mapping, alignment checks and analytical reporting.
- DPIIT introduced PM GatiShakti–Offshore, integrating energy, ecology, bathymetry, oil and gas, ports and hazard layers to guide sustainable offshore wind, subsea transmission and coastal development, illustrated by route planning for a potential HVDC link to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
- New governance tools went live, including a Knowledge Management System, a three-stage Decentralized Data Uploading and Management System, an NMP dashboard for multi-sector reporting and the PM GatiShakti Compendium Volume‑3.
- District Master Plans, created for 28 Aspirational Districts in 2024, are being expanded toward all 112 districts following use cases in road widening, solar park siting, water provision and social infrastructure planning.
- The government reported 293 projects worth Rs 13.59 lakh crore evaluated through the NPG mechanism and 57 central ministries and departments onboarded onto the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan.
