  • Kapil Bainsla won junior men’s 10m air pistol gold with 243.0, edging Uzbekistan’s Ilkhombek Obidjonov by 0.6, as Jonathan Gavin Antony took bronze with 220.7.
  • The junior men’s 10m air pistol trio of Gavin, Kapil and Vijay Tomar claimed team silver with 1,723 points, finishing behind South Korea’s 1,734.
  • India’s senior men earned 10m air pistol team silver at 1,735 through Anmol Jain, Aditya Malra and Saurabh Chaudhary, with China taking gold at 1,744 and Iran bronze at 1,733.
  • Anmol Jain placed sixth in the senior individual 10m air pistol final, and top qualifier Amit Sharma (588) did not advance because he competed as Ranking Points Only.
  • In youth 10m air pistol, Girish Gupta won gold and Dev Pratap secured silver as India closed the opening day with two gold, four silver and one bronze.
