- Liberalised access now covers key corridors including Kolkata–Jogbani, Kolkata–Nautanwa (Sunauli) and Visakhapatnam–Nautanwa (Sunauli).
- The change facilitates shipment from the ports of Kolkata and Visakhapatnam directly to the Nepal Customs Yard cargo station in Morang District near Biratnagar.
- Officials highlighted ongoing work on Integrated Check Posts and other cross-border infrastructure, noting that India remains Nepal’s largest trade and investment partner and that the measures are expected to strengthen economic linkages.
