- National leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the CDS and service chiefs, issued tributes recognizing veterans’ service and the Army’s role.
- Rajnath Singh addressed the main Veterans Day gathering at New Delhi’s Manekshaw Centre, urging veterans to continue guiding the nation and reaffirming long-term welfare commitments.
- Large tri-service observances delivered services across India, from a two-day ex-servicemen rally in Rajouri to a Pune event that drew roughly 4,000–5,000 veterans, families and serving personnel.
- On-site outreach featured SPARSH pension facilitation, ECHS health support, grievance redressal counters and employment and banking assistance for veterans and dependents.
- The Army reported the 100th Project NAMAN centre en route to about 200 by January 2027, and at Jaipur an investiture conferred 10 Sena Medals (Gallantry) and 49 COAS Unit Citations as veteran integration in planning and operations, including Operation Sindoor, was highlighted.
