- Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said FY2025–26 non-fossil additions reached 31.25 GW, with 24.28 GW from solar, the most in any year.
- The Centre approved 1.5 lakh consumer-owned rooftop systems of 1 kW each for Odisha under a utility-led model, expected to benefit 7–8 lakh people.
- India’s solar capacity has expanded from 2.8 GW to about 130 GW in 11 years, with 46 GW added between 2022 and 2024, making it the third-largest contributor to global solar growth.
- Odisha reports over 3.1 GW of installed renewables and a clean share above 34%, with 1.6 lakh rooftop applications, 23,000 installations and subsidies to more than 19,200 families under PM Surya Ghar.
