India Launches Month-Long Digital Life Certificate Drive as EPFO Doorstep Service Becomes Free Under IPPB Pact

Using Aadhaar face authentication and on-the-ground camps, the push streamlines pension verification without bank visits.

  • Running November 1–30, the nationwide campaign targets two crore pensioners across more than 2,000 cities, with those aged 80 and above allowed to submit from October 1.
  • An IPPBEPFO memorandum of understanding makes home collection of Digital Life Certificates free for EPFO pensioners, using face or fingerprint authentication.
  • India Post Payments Bank will deploy over 1.65 lakh post offices and more than 3 lakh postal service providers, including postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks, to deliver doorstep services.
  • The telecom pension wing CGCA announced 320 support camps across 171 cities in November, a 42% increase over last year, with multiple outreach events in Delhi-NCR.
  • Progress is being monitored on the NIC DLC portal as senior officials review local arrangements and leaders attend public camps, including an SBI Mega Camp in New Delhi.
