Overview
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually flagged off the expedition as the 50-foot IASV Triveni sailed from the Gateway of India in Mumbai.
- Ten women officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force will attempt an easterly circumnavigation of roughly 26,000 nautical miles over nine months.
- The route includes two Equator crossings and the three great capes—Leeuwin, Horn and Good Hope—through challenging waters such as the Southern Ocean and Drake Passage.
