Overview
- India issued a fresh NOTAM on Friday extending the prohibition on Pakistan-registered civilian and military aircraft using Indian airspace until September 23, 2025.
- The restriction covers aircraft operated, owned, or leased by Pakistani airlines and operators, as well as military flights.
- Pakistan days earlier extended its own NOTAM blocking Indian-operated, owned, or leased civilian and military aircraft from Pakistani airspace through the same date.
- The closure cycle began when Pakistan barred Indian flights on April 23 following the Pahalgam attack, and India responded with a reciprocal ban on April 30.
- Both governments first renewed the restrictions on May 23 and have continued issuing monthly extensions through recent months.
