- India and Botswana formally announced the translocation of eight Kalahari cheetahs to India under Project Cheetah, with a symbolic handover at the Mokolodi quarantine facility.
- The cheetahs will remain in quarantine and are expected to be transported to India in the coming months after required procedures and clearances.
- The two sides exchanged a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in health and pharmaceuticals, and India agreed to send a consignment of antiretroviral medicines at Botswana’s request.
