India Auto Sales Set Records in October on Festive Buying and GST Cuts

Analysts say the spike reflects pull‑forward demand after tax reforms, with growth likely to ease from November even as lower prices support the market.

  • Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reported record wholesales of 61,295 units, with SUVs at a 77% share and EVs at an all‑time high of 9,286 units; festive-period deliveries crossed 100,000, up 33% year on year.
