India and Mauritius Strengthen Ties with Joint Development Projects

The inauguration of new infrastructure projects marks a significant milestone in the longstanding partnership between the two nations.

India and Mauritius inaugurated several development projects, including a new airstrip and St James Jetty on Agalega Island, enhancing connectivity and maritime security.
The projects were jointly inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth via video conferencing.
Mauritius PM Jugnauth thanked PM Modi for India's support in these projects, highlighting the deepening of the Mauritius-India relationship.
The inauguration of these projects follows the recent launch of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and RuPay Card services in Mauritius, further strengthening the partnership.
Mauritius became the first country to adopt the Jan Aushadhi Scheme, aimed at providing quality medicines at affordable prices, thanks to India's support.
