India and Greece Conclude First Bilateral Naval Exercise in Mediterranean

  • The exercise concluded on September 18 in the Mediterranean, which the Indian Navy described as a milestone in IndiaGreece defence cooperation.
  • The harbour phase ran September 13–17 at Salamis Naval Base with cross-deck visits, professional exchanges, and a pre-sail conference aboard HS Themistokles.
  • INS Trikand hosted a cultural reception for Ambassador Rudrendra Tandon and senior Hellenic Navy officers, and crew members visited the Acropolis.
  • The sea phase on September 17–18 featured night VBSS, replenishment-at-sea drills, joint anti-submarine warfare exercises, coordinated gunfire, and cross-deck helicopter operations.
  • On completion, INS Trikand departed for the next phase of its Mediterranean deployment.
