Overview

• During a October 12–14 visit to New Delhi, Canadian foreign minister Anita Anand and India’s S. Jaishankar issued a joint statement detailing a New Roadmap to rebuild the partnership.
• The two governments will launch ministerial discussions on trade and investment and resume the Canada–India CEO Forum alongside a senior-level trade mission in early 2026.
• Energy cooperation will restart through a re-established Canada–India Ministerial Energy Dialogue, with plans for LNG and LPG trade, low‑carbon fuels, CCUS, power grid integration, and renewed civil nuclear discussions.
