Income Tax Raids Target Prominent Telugu Film Producers in Hyderabad

The Income Tax Department conducted raids at eight locations in Hyderabad, including the homes and offices of producers Dil Raju, Naveen Yerneni, and Ravi Shankar.
The raids are reportedly linked to allegations of tax evasion, though official statements from the IT department are still pending.
Dil Raju, chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, and the other producers are known for major Telugu films such as 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' and 'Game Changer'.
'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' released in December 2024, has been a massive box office success, while 'Game Changer,' released in January 2025, underperformed despite a large budget.
The searches extended to properties in prominent Hyderabad areas like Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills, as well as an online portal.
