Overview

  • The dedicated lane opens Sunday, Aug. 31, at Incheon International Airport as a trial for the rest of 2025.
  • Access is limited to foreign business travelers recommended by specified Korean economic associations and foreign business chambers.
  • Authorities will evaluate the test through December before considering expansion to airports such as Gimpo and Gimhae.
  • Korean nationals clear immigration at automated kiosks in about two minutes, while many foreign travelers wait 24 to 35 minutes at staffed counters.
  • The government is reviewing whether to let foreign nationals use automated immigration kiosks currently reserved for South Korean citizens.
