Inaugural Florida Man Games to take Place in St. Augustine in February 2024

Competition plans to mock notorious "Florida Man" headlines with eccentric events like beer belly wrestling, an "evading arrest" obstacle course pursued by real law enforcement, and a culminating boxing match between police officers and firefighters.

The inaugural Florida Man Games, slated to occur on February 24, 2024, in St. Augustine, will comprise unconventional contests that embody infamous 'Florida Man' headlines.
Created by St. Augustine native Pete Melfi, the event was devised to let people experience a 'day in the life of a Florida Man' without the apprehension of legal repercussions.
Participants will engage in eccentric events like beer belly wrestling, 'Evading Arrest' obstacle course featuring actual police officers as pursuers, a mud duel involving pool noodles, a 'Category 5 Cash Grab' in a wind-blowing booth, and a culminating '911 Fight Night, Brawl of the Badges' boxing match between police officers and firefighters.
Other noteworthy attractions include a best mullet contest, a 'Florida Ma’am' event, and an opportunity for attendees to have their picture taken with a real alligator.
To participate in the games, interested individuals are required to submit a video of themselves for consideration, and16 teams from across Florida will be selected to compete.
Aside from the competitors, the event will also accommodate guests who purchased tickets ranging from $45-$145, providing them a chance to partake in various activities without being in a team.
