Overview
- INAPAM confirmed Sunday that the 2026 aguinaldo will be paid only to older adults who register in person in its Servicio de Vinculación Productiva and secure formal employment through companies that participate in the program.
- To enroll, applicants must visit INAPAM or Secretaría de Bienestar modules in person during normal hours, complete a free registration and present at minimum a valid INAPAM credential and their CURP.
- The Servicio de Vinculación Productiva runs two tracks: promoting formal hires with private employers and organizing volunteer/packing roles in stores, and eligibility for the aguinaldo applies only to those hired under the formal-hire track.
- Workers hired through the program gain immediate labor rights under Mexican law, such as access to health insurance and the legally required annual aguinaldo, but the availability of jobs and the benefit will vary by state and by which companies join the scheme.
- The INAPAM card continues to deliver commercial and transport discounts and does not expire, though lost, damaged or changed credentials must be replaced at modules with documents like a birth certificate, official ID, CURP, proof of address and a photo.
