In bipartisan move, Nevada's Republican governor signs protections for abortion providers and patients

Nevada's Republican Governor Joe Lombardo signed a law protecting abortion providers and out-of-state patients.
The law enshrines an executive order from the previous governor blocking state agencies from cooperating in investigations of out-of-state abortion patients.
The law also prevents professional boards from punishing doctors for providing abortions.
Lombardo describes himself as pro-life but signed the law protecting abortion rights.
Several Democratic states have passed similar laws, but Nevada is the first state with a Republican governor to do so.
