- IMSS is offering pensioners discounts of 30–50% on intercity buses, cinema and theater tickets, medicines, selected supermarket days and some travel services.
- To obtain the benefits, beneficiaries must present their IMSS pension credential at participating businesses and verify active agreements and applicable days.
- Access to Modalidad 40 now requires at least 52 weeks of contributions within the last five years and entry no later than five years after leaving the mandatory regime.
- Monthly contributions under Modalidad 40 are set at 13.347% of the registered salary, and payments can be made online via SPEI using the IMSS-provided CLABE and reference.
- IMSS indicated that in November 2025 many retirees will receive their regular pension, the year-end bonus and, in many cases, the 6,200‑peso Bienestar deposit in the same period; eligibility details and accumulated weeks can be checked on the IMSS portal.
