- IMSS has set the Ley 1997 minimum at 850 cotized weeks for 2025 (rising to 1,000 by 2031) and requires beneficiaries to contract a pension vitalicia with an authorized insurer and survival insurance.
- The institute is offering a one-time MXN 9,000 bonus to 1997-regime retirees who select the most favorable life-annuity option when setting up their renta vitalicia.
