Overview

• IMSS reports 953,872 surgeries this year, equal to 47% of its 2 million goal, along with 16.1 million specialty consultations and 63.1 million family-medicine visits.
• Productivity is up with operating rooms used above 90%, extended evening schedules, trial night clinics in Quintana Roo from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., and roughly 5,000 hires tied to surgical services.
• In the latest week measured, IMSS logged 39,000 more surgeries, 874,000 more specialty consults, and 2 million more family-medicine consults than the prior week, supported by better scheduling and fewer cancellations.
• ISSSTE’s surgical jornadas have reached 2,217 of 3,068 targeted procedures (72.26%) focused on cataract, knee and prostate operations across multiple regional sites.
