Overview
- Imserso has begun mailing 2,938,156 notification letters with four-digit booking codes to 4,602,255 accredited people so they can reserve trips for the 2026–2027 season.
- The commercialization opens on 14 September for preferred users in Andalusia, Aragón, Castile and León, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Melilla, Navarre and La Rioja, with non-preferred and other regions allowed to buy on staggered dates from 15 to 17 September.
- The season offers 879,213 places split roughly 50.1% peninsular, 25.9% insular and 23.9% for short ‘escapade’ circuits, and 7,447 places are reserved at a flat 50-euro fare for low‑income pensioners.
- A share of places remains set aside for travellers who want to bring companion animals, and users must follow the programme rules on which companions are authorized and which trips allow animals.
- To prevent overcrowding, Imserso assigns provincial quotas based on residents aged 65+, limits early sales to each province’s own cupo through 18 September, and distributes 36% of each lot evenly across campaign months to spread demand.
