Overview

• The programme offers 879,213 subsidised places, with 7,447 reserved at a flat €50 for the lowest-income pensioners.
• For the first time, 2% of coastal and island places are set aside for travellers with small pets, limited to animals up to 10 kg including carrier and excluding potentially dangerous breeds.
• Owners must cover pet costs and any damages, and solo travellers with pets face a nightly room supplement of €22 on the peninsula and Balearic Islands or €24 in the Canary Islands.
• Prices rise by about 6% with new high-season supplements (October, May and June for peninsula and Balearic trips; December to February for the Canary Islands) and a €100 surcharge on a second or subsequent trip, with fares ranging from €132.91 to €464.72 before add-ons.
• Operators will review uptake of pet-designated slots two months after sales begin and may reassign unused places to the general pool.
