Overview

• The collision happened around 8:40 p.m. roughly 500 metres south of the William R. Bennett Bridge on Okanagan Lake.
• BC Emergency Health Services treated 12 patients, transporting five in stable condition and seven in good condition.
• Responders included seven BCEHS ambulances, RCMP, Central Okanagan Search and Rescue, and the Kelowna Fire Department.
• COSAR reports police confirmed everyone was accounted for after initial checks for people in the water.
• A powerboat was reported lodged on another vessel, the fire department removed the damaged boats, and West Kelowna RCMP say impairment is under investigation.
