Overview
- Cold to severe cold wave conditions are likely in isolated pockets of Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand and Odisha over the next three to four days, with further 2–3°C falls expected in the northwest, the IMD said.
- Madhya Pradesh expanded its alert to 23 districts for the next four days, reporting sub-10°C nights in multiple cities and 25-year lows in Bhopal and Indore.
- Jharkhand issued a yellow warning for Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla and Simdega through November 15, with some stations already below 10°C including Gumla at 7.2°C.
- Delhi’s Safdarjung recorded 10.4°C, four below normal, Pune dipped to about 13.4°C, and Jalgaon touched 9.2°C as early-season minima fell across Maharashtra and adjoining regions.
- Mumbai’s air quality deteriorated to an unhealthy AQI of 207 on Wednesday morning, with several sites in the severe range, as the IMD reiterated health guidance and agromet advice for vulnerable people and crops.
