Overview

• Chennai and several Tamil Nadu districts are forecast to see moderate showers with isolated heavy spells on Saturday, with thunderstorms and lightning possible in places.
• District warnings cover Tiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri, among others.
• Fishermen have been advised to stay ashore as coastal winds strengthen, with squally conditions reaching 60–80 kmph and gusts up to 90 kmph in some zones.
