• Light to moderate rain could return at a few coastal locations on January 23–24, while interior districts are forecast to remain largely dry.
• Chennai is forecast to reach 30–31°C during the day over the next few days, with night temperatures near normal.
• Strong surface winds of 35–45 kmph, gusting to 55 kmph, are expected over south Tamil Nadu waters on January 18, and fishermen have been advised to avoid these seas.
