IMD Issues Orange Alerts as Bay of Bengal Low Triggers Heavy Rain Across Multiple States

IMD expects a fresh Bay of Bengal system on September 25 that could strengthen into a depression by the weekend.

  • Conditions vary by city, with flooding easing in Kolkata, Delhi staying warm and clear, and Mumbai seeing light rain now but an orange alert for isolated very heavy rain on September 27 in Mumbai, Thane and Raigad.
