IMD Director General Mohapatra Receives UN Sasakawa Award for Disaster Risk Reduction

- Born in Bhadrak, Odisha, Mohapatra has led the India Meteorological Department since 2019 and serves as one of three vice-presidents of the World Meteorological Organization.
