- Regional outcomes diverged sharply, led by northwest India at 127% of its LPA, central India at 115% and the south peninsula at 110%, while the east and northeast finished near 80% and logged their second-lowest seasonal total since 1901.
- All-India Summer Rainfall reached 937.2 mm, the fifth-highest since 2001, after an early onset that covered the country by June 29.
- Seven monsoon depressions, including one deep depression, prolonged heavy spells that boosted reservoirs and supported agriculture but also caused local damage and losses reported in several states.
- The IMD projects about 15% above-normal rainfall nationally in October and above-normal October–December rain over the south peninsular subdivisions, with parts of northwest, extreme south and the northeast likely to see normal to below-normal October rain and higher October maximum temperatures expected in east-northeast and northwest India.
