Illinois Man Denied Pretrial Release After High-Speed DUI Chase

  • Michael J. Fox, 28, faces multiple felony counts after fleeing police on Butterfield Road at speeds up to 70 mph following an alleged hit-and-run on Aug. 11.
  • He ran a red light at the Route 59 and Butterfield intersection and collided with a Honda CR-V, sending its two occupants to the hospital with minor injuries.
  • Warrenville officers found an open alcohol bottle in his vehicle and noted signs of intoxication before a breathalyzer later registered a 0.267 BAC.
  • The DuPage County state’s attorney charged Fox with aggravated fleeing and eluding, aggravated DUI, reckless driving and other traffic offenses.
  • Fox was ordered held without bond in DuPage County jail and will return to court on Sept. 8.
