Overview
- The race committee called off Sunday’s races at 14:00 after extreme heat prevented the thermal breeze that powers competition in the Bay of Palma.
- The final standings crowned Tuiga (Big Boats), Argos (Clásicos), Sonata (Época Bermudiana), Rowdy (Época Cangreja and overall), Celeste di Mare (Espíritu de Tradición) and Micanga (RI Clásicos) as class victors.
- Four classes had entered the last day with razor-thin margins, notably Tuiga’s one-point edge over The Lady Anne and the tie between Argos and Clarionet in Clásicos.
- Rowdy and Micanga each secured perfect records by winning all three races in their classes.
- The prize-giving at Club de Mar-Mallorca capped the event’s highest ever entry of 40 classic yachts and included a tribute to longtime competitor Martín Billoch.
