• Catalonia’s president Salvador Illa met Basque lehendakari Imanol Pradales on Friday in their second formal meeting since taking office.
• Both leaders restated a joint commitment to ensure Catalan, Basque and Galician are heard and used in EU institutions, pledging to keep collaborating until official status is achieved.
• A Lehendakaritza note said their discussion covered shared priorities including migration management, public administration reform, housing policy and the social economy.
• Illa visited Mondragon’s headquarters before the meeting and spoke with corporation president Pello Rodríguez Zabaleta.
