Ikon Pass Offers $20-Per-Day Mountain Credits to Registered Skiers Through Feb. 25

The limited-time offer seeks to boost visits during a warm, low-snow start that has cut into on-mountain spending.

Overview

  • Registered passholders can earn $20 in Mountain Credits per ski day at participating U.S. Ikon destinations through Feb. 25, capped at three days and $60 total.
  • Credits are usable only in person at select restaurants, retail shops, and rental outlets at resorts including Steamboat, Winter Park, Deer Valley, Solitude, Mammoth Mountain, and Palisades Tahoe.
  • Mountain Credits will be deposited into primary accounts by March 6 and expire May 31, and they cannot be used online or rolled into next season.
  • Eligibility requires age 18 or older, with minors’ credits routed to linked adults, and the program excludes certain discounted passes such as college, military, and nursing.
  • Alterra announced the program by email to some passholders; reporters call the move unusual, and while the company has not linked it to traffic shortfalls, Vail Resorts reported a 20% drop in visits and a 15.9% decline in food revenue earlier this season.
