Ikea has opened a pop-up store on Oxford Street in London dedicated to its signature blue Frakta carrier bag, offering an immersive experience for visitors.
The store, named 'Hus of Frakta,' features personalization services for the blue bag, a gallery-style display of Frakta-inspired products, and a selection of best-selling Ikea items for purchase.
The pop-up includes interactive features such as mirrored walls, ASMR soundscapes, and complimentary blue candy floss to enhance the visitor experience.
The pop-up shop is located next to the site of Ikea's upcoming 5,000 sq ft flagship store, which has faced delays due to construction challenges and is now scheduled to open in spring 2025.
Ikea's Oxford Street initiative is part of its broader strategy to expand accessibility through high street locations, with additional stores planned in Brighton and elsewhere in the UK.
