Ikaika Malloe Promoted to Defensive Coordinator at UCLA

Following a successful season, Malloe steps up as the Bruins prepare for their move to the Big Ten.

Ikaika Malloe, previously the defensive line coach, has been promoted to defensive coordinator at UCLA.
Malloe is credited with the development of All-America defensive lineman Laiatu Latu, UCLA's first Lombardi Award winner.
Under Malloe's coaching, the Bruins finished the season ranked second nationally by giving up only 80.8 rushing yards per game.
Malloe replaces D'Anton Lynn, making him UCLA's fourth defensive coordinator since 2021.
UCLA finished the season with an 8-5 record in the Pac-12 and will join the Big Ten next season.
