IITian-Turned-Sadhu Abhay Singh Expelled From Juna Akhada Over Guru Dispute

Abhay Singh, known as 'IITian Baba,' was expelled from the Juna Akhada following allegations of using abusive language against his guru, Mahant Someshwar Puri.
Juna Akhada leaders stated that Singh violated the core principles of sanyas, including discipline and respect for the guru-shishya tradition.
Singh, who left a career in aerospace engineering for spirituality, gained popularity for applying scientific principles to spiritual discussions at the Maha Kumbh Mela.
In response, Singh denied the allegations, claiming they stemmed from jealousy over his growing popularity and accusing the Akhada of spreading false rumors about him.
The Akhada emphasized that Singh will remain banned until he demonstrates adherence to its values, with its chief patron highlighting the importance of discipline and devotion.
